Safety Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Coordinator to join our team at Anistar Technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure a safe working environment for employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with staff in human resources, operations, and research and development to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Provide technical safety and health support and information to production and corporate personnel.
- Develop and implement written safety and health programs and policies.
- Identify company safety training needs and develop and coordinate safety training programs.
- Participate in new product/process reviews, including process hazard analyses, operator training, etc.
- Support field operations personnel in selecting appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Promote safety and health awareness through internal company memoranda, newsletters, and specific training programs.
- Participate in the company occupational safety and health committee.
- Assist in implementing a hazard communication program and preparing reports.
- Review process-operating procedures/records and provide input for safety and health considerations.
- Understand federal and state occupational safety and health regulations and monitor regulatory changes as they occur.
- Provide technical support to corporate and plant personnel to ensure compliance with applicable occupational safety and health regulations.
- Advise field operations and corporate staff of regulatory changes with which the company must comply.
- Audit practices and records of jobsites to ensure compliance with company programs and federal/state occupational safety and health regulations.
- Monitor lost-time injuries/illnesses and worker's compensation claims.
- Review field operations safety committee meeting minutes and safety inspection reports and follow up as necessary.
- Review injury/illness and non-injury incident investigation reports and follow up as necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
- Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST)
- OSHA 30
