Job SummaryWe are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at the Ochsner Health System East Clinic. As an LPN, you will provide direct care to patients, including IV therapy, under the direction of a Registered Nurse. You will also direct and assist ancillary nursing staff with assigned duties and interact with the multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities- Provide direct care to patients, including IV therapy, under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
- Direct and assist ancillary nursing staff with assigned duties.
- Interact with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Use the Nursing Process to deliver patient care through data gathering, planning, and evaluation.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, guests, family members, and co-workers.
- Adapt to rapid change in a positive manner throughout the day.
- Manage personal professional development and maintain required clinical knowledge, technical skills, training, and credentials.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Current LPN License in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
- Preferred: IV Therapy Credentials.
