Application Analyst IT Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Application Analyst IT Specialist to join our team at Methodist Hospitals. This role will involve working with the Epic EMR system, analyzing and prioritizing requests for system changes and enhancements, and ensuring the quality of integration across system applications.
Responsibilities
- Perform work developing, analyzing, maintaining, and implementing the Epic EMR system software within the Healthcare Organization.
- Analyze and prioritize requests for system changes/enhancements, including requirements gathering, identifying potential problem areas, and recommending processes and/or system improvements.
- Assure proper change control and documentation for upgrades and system modifications.
- Effectively work as a team member to ensure quality of integration across system applications.
- Investigate user problems and needs, identify their source, determine/implement solutions, and document resolutions for future reference.
- Document system and business requirements, create test plans and scripts for system and user acceptance testing, and assist with and document the development of new operational procedures.
- Participate in the development, implementation, and testing of application software, specifically those that interact with the Epic system.
- Provide guidance and support for ongoing training and participate in the development and implementation of training materials.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (preferred).
- 1 year of experience in Healthcare Informatics (preferred).
- Prior experience or proficiency with EPIC application software (preferred).
- Ability to achieve EPIC proficiency within the first six months of hire date.
