Who We Are Seeking

We are in search of a bright, resourceful, and independent individual to join our expanding sales team. Ideal candidates should possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, enjoy engaging with prospects, and take pleasure in connecting individuals with shared interests.

This role offers a valuable opportunity to enhance your sales expertise and learn from experienced professionals in a dynamic startup environment.

Your responsibilities will include engaging with customers to guide them through their mortgage choices while contributing to the development of a scalable and repeatable sales model that aims to serve millions of homebuyers. Each customer presents unique challenges, and you will need to be both creative and analytical to become a subject matter expert and devise effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities - Mortgage Sales Consultant:

  • Become a Mortgage Authority: Acquire comprehensive knowledge of the mortgage landscape, including how to evaluate and compare various mortgage options and understand the broader real estate ecosystem.
  • Convert incoming customer inquiries into actionable leads.
  • Serve as the approachable representative of Morty, assisting customers through various communication channels.
  • Effectively communicate Morty's value propositions to potential customers.
  • Develop and implement processes to standardize our workflows, ensuring consistent service and expertise for every customer.
  • Manage and monitor a comprehensive customer sales pipeline to prioritize tasks and enhance conversion rates and customer satisfaction.
  • Act as the customer advocate to the Engineering, Product, and Customer Success teams, providing mortgage expertise as needed.
  • Support loan officers in managing their customer interactions and sales processes.
  • Assist customers with any challenges they encounter while using the Morty platform and collaborate with the engineering team to address and resolve these issues.

Qualifications:

  • Background in finance, business, or technology (academic or professional).
  • At least one year of sales experience; customer service experience is a plus.
  • A genuine desire to assist clients with their significant financial decisions.
  • Strong communication skills and a personable demeanor.
  • A proactive learner with a positive attitude towards all tasks.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Enthusiasm for joining a startup and contributing to its growth.

Additional Information:

This position provides an opportunity to become a licensed mortgage broker, with support for study and preparation for the licensing exam.
