Job Summary:

Athens Services is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our premises, employees, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
  • Monitor and respond to security alarms and incidents in a timely and effective manner.
  • Screen and monitor visitors, employees, and contractors to ensure compliance with security protocols.
  • Enforce security policies and procedures to prevent unauthorized access and maintain a secure environment.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and other emergency services as needed to ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Conduct routine checks of security systems, equipment, and facilities to ensure optimal performance and functionality.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local law enforcement and emergency services to ensure a coordinated response to security incidents.
  • Participate in training and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest security best practices and technologies.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Class C Driver's License required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team required.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual English/Spanish language skills preferred.
  • Previous security experience preferred.

Physical/Environmental Demands:

  • Physical demands include sitting, standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Environmental demands include exposure to dust, smoke, fumes, odors, and noise.

Work Schedule:

3rd Shift Schedule: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Monday - Sunday. Specific days off will be assigned based on a rotating schedule.
