Harrison Gray Search & Consulting has partnered with a reputable insurance agency in Sarasota, Florida to find an experienced Commercial Lines Producer. This third-generation family-owned and operated independent agency has been serving the community since 1956.

We are seeking an Insurance Sales Representative to join this dynamic team. The role involves selling and renewing commercial insurance for businesses while building a book of business. The compensation structure includes an initial base salary plus commission, transitioning to a primarily commission-based role over time.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a client base through networking and referrals.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients and evaluate their insurance needs.
  • Assess clients' current insurance coverage and provide suitable recommendations.
  • Customize insurance programs to suit individual clients' needs and budgets.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by promptly addressing client inquiries and concerns.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and changes in insurance policies.
  • Collaborate with underwriters to negotiate terms and conditions for insurance contracts.
  • Achieve pre-determined sales goals.
Qualifications:
  • Florida 2-20 Insurance License (or the ability to obtain one within 60 days of employment).
  • Strong knowledge of insurance products or a demonstrated ability to learn quickly.
  • Proven experience as an Insurance Producer or similar role.
  • Successful business-to-business sales experience.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze complex information.

The estimated salary for this position is $70,000 per year, based on industry standards and the location in Sarasota, Florida. Additionally, the company offers a generous commission structure, initial base salary during the establishment of a book of business, periodic sales leads, bonus pay opportunities, generous PTO, company-matching retirement plan, and 100% company-paid health insurance.
