Position Overview:

The Student Services Coordinator (SSC) plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional financial and administrative assistance while ensuring outstanding customer service to a diverse clientele in a dynamic setting. This position serves as a primary contact for students visiting the Office of Student Affairs, providing essential information and resources. The SSC will also address and resolve issues as they arise, keeping the Office of Student Affairs team informed of inquiries and necessary follow-ups to effectively support the student community.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Offer guidance and information to students regarding their educational and career aspirations, as well as available resources such as financial aid, fellowships, and career services.

2. Coordinate and manage various processes and programs related to admissions, financial aid, registration, placement, and career services.

3. Adapt and implement new policies and procedures in specialized areas; develop, recommend, and execute solutions to improve existing policies and processes.

4. Assist in the design and implementation of computer systems for admissions, registration, career services, and financial aid.

5. Process financial transactions, track data, and generate and analyze reports.

6. Contribute to the design and development of student publications, communications, and program websites.

7. Ensure compliance of all student services and support functions with institutional policies and guidelines.

8. Monitor and maintain the accuracy of student records; track student status effectively.

9. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Six years of relevant experience, with at least four years in a similar role, and a high school diploma; or four years of relevant experience and an Associate's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Skills:

1. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.

2. A flexible and positive team player who values collaboration.

3. Ability to manage time independently and meet deadlines efficiently.

4. Practical experience with financial reporting and processing.

5. Proficient in active listening, complex problem-solving, and sound judgment.

Work Schedule:

Occasional weekend and evening hours may be required.
