Insurance Defense Legal Assistant

A reputable law firm, Denovo Review, is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Legal Assistant to join its team in Tampa. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in insurance defense, excellent communication skills, and be well-organized.
Key Responsibilities:- Case Management: Organize cases by establishing and maintaining files, calendars, and deadlines, and documenting actions.
- Deposition and Hearing Coordination: Schedule depositions, prepare and forward summonses and subpoenas, and prepare and file discovery requests.
- Exhibit and Correspondence Preparation: Prepare exhibits and correspondence, schedule mediation conferences and hearings, and draft pleadings.
- Client Communication: Initiate and maintain contact with clients, prepare clients to answer discovery, and keep clients informed of case status.
- Administrative Support: Accomplish law firm mission by completing other duties as needed.
- Technical Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products and Case Management software (Time Matters and Juris Suite a plus).
- Soft Skills: Organizational skills, time management and planning skills, verbal and written communication skills, strong computer proficiency, detail-oriented, dependable, and able to keep cases and client matters confidential.
