Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Deputy Sheriff I to join our team at Eddy County Hr. As a Deputy Sheriff I, you will be responsible for enforcing laws and ordinances, protecting the public's constitutional rights, and providing exceptional service to our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a wide range of patrol duties to enforce laws and ordinances
  • Protect the public's constitutional rights and provide exceptional service to the community
  • Work from rotating shift patrol assignments to operate a patrol vehicle in a designated area of the county
  • Perform duties with minimal supervision and be responsible for proper personal conduct and enhancement of the County's police image
  • Attend job-related meetings and perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Ability to work irregular hours and attend job-related meetings
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions
