Deputy Sheriff II

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Deputy Sheriff II to join our team at Eddy County, NM. As a Deputy Sheriff II, you will be responsible for enforcing laws and ordinances, protecting the public's constitutional rights, and performing a wide range of patrol duties.

• Enforce laws and ordinances, and protect the public's constitutional rights
• Perform a wide range of patrol duties, including operating a patrol vehicle in a designated area of the county
• Work from rotating shift patrol assignments, with full responsibility for proper personal conduct and enhancement of the County's police image
• Attend job-related meetings, both in and out of town, and perform other duties as assigned

• Certification as a Deputy Sheriff II
• Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with minimal supervision
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Competitive hourly rate of $31.15 per hour, certified DOE
