Job Summary

This role is responsible for optimizing accounts payable operations and systems by auditing data, identifying payment issues, and providing assistance to inquiries. The successful candidate will review invoice issues, identify root causes, and bridge knowledge gaps associated with invoices and payment issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Audit data and identify payment issues to improve accounts payable operations and systems
  • Review invoice issues and identify root causes to ensure timely and accurate payments
  • Bridge knowledge gaps associated with invoices and payment issues by facilitating report development and collaborating with internal teams
  • Collaborate with technical teams and vendors to build strong cross-functional relationships across all Procure-to-Pay stakeholders
  • Perform weekly and monthly vendor assessments to ensure vendor invoices are processed efficiently
  • Assist with escalations on invoice discrepancies, tracking issues, and providing guidance and training
  • Reconcile accounts payable general ledger by reviewing data in sub-ledger and ensuring it matches the general ledger
  • Consolidate Accounts Payable policies and procedures to ensure they are organized efficiently
  • Track vendor statements by reviewing data and communicate recurring invoice processing issues to management
  • Facilitate report development to improve accounts payable performance and past performance research
  • Collaborate with internal technical teams and business partners to improve automation and efficiencies in the P2P process
  • Review vendor information for accuracy for IRS 1099 compliance and reporting associated with respective vendor portfolio
  • Recommend improvements and coordinate all internal control documents
  • Maintain and automate Sales Tax rates in system and ensure that entities receive their payments
  • Monitor P2P Metrics and ensure data presented to management
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Three (3) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience
  • Ability to interpret, apply and explain rules, regulations, policy and procedures
  • Ability to manage budgets and expenses
  • Ability to manage workflow and/or business cycle productivity
  • Ability to plan, organize, assign, prioritize, evaluate, and supervise the work of subordinate employees performing the same or similar work
  • Ability to plan, organize, develop tactical plans and sets priorities
  • Ability to solve technical and non-technical problems
  • Ability to supervise, coach, mentor, train, and evaluate work results
  • Ability to work effectively through and with others
  • Knowledge of accounts payable principles and practices
  • Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area
  • Knowledge of financial transaction flows, including system interfaces
  • Knowledge of local, state and federal regulatory requirement related to the functional area
