About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Commercial Construction Superintendent to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. This key position involves managing daily site operations, ensuring projects meet quality, safety, and efficiency standards.


Responsibilities
  • Project Oversight: Coordinate all on-site activities, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and adherence to project specifications.
  • Team Management: Supervise and coordinate the work of subcontractors, laborers, and other on-site personnel.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce all safety protocols, ensuring OSHA and company safety standards are met at all times.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and inspect work to ensure it meets quality standards and project specifications.
  • Scheduling: Develop and maintain project schedules, adjust timelines as necessary, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
  • Problem Solving: Identify potential issues before they arise, and implement effective solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on-site, providing regular updates and addressing concerns.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate daily logs, reports, and documentation related to project progress, safety, and other critical areas.
Requirements
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction is required.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience is considered.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in construction management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite is expected.
  • Certifications: OSHA 30-Hour, First Aid/CPR, and any relevant industry certifications are required.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams are essential.
  • Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to anticipate challenges and implement effective solutions is crucial.
  • Knowledge: A deep understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations is necessary.
