Key Responsibilities
  • Fabricate, assemble, and install mechanical systems and components following engineering specifications and drawings.
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration on simulation equipment to guarantee peak functionality.
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and execute prompt repairs to reduce operational downtime.
  • Work alongside engineers and team members to discover avenues for equipment enhancement and optimization.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all production activities, including quality control measures.
  • Accurately record all maintenance tasks, repairs, and modifications.
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure working environment at all times.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree is not mandatory.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Mechanical Technician or in a comparable role, ideally within a manufacturing or technical setting.
  • Strong mechanical skills with practical experience in equipment fabrication and assembly; maintenance and repair experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics proficiently.
  • Competence in utilizing hand and power tools effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and work schedules.
  • Prior experience with simulation equipment or military systems is beneficial but not required.
Physical Requirements

The physical demands outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. While executing the duties of this role, the employee may occasionally be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to manipulate objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, and communicate verbally.
