Job Summary:

As a Maintenance Mechanic with the Florida State Government, you will be responsible for inspecting, operating, and repairing various types of mechanical equipment. This includes pumps, electrical motors, boilers, water heaters, chillers, ducts, hydraulic, and hydronic systems. Additionally, you will perform chemical water analysis on boiler water and fabricate and install metal duct systems and flex ducts as required. Your attention to detail and ability to work independently will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and operate mechanical equipment to ensure proper functioning
  • Repair and maintain equipment to prevent downtime and ensure efficiency
  • Perform chemical water analysis on boiler water to ensure safety and quality
  • Fabricate and install metal duct systems and flex ducts as required

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of experience in mechanical equipment repair and maintenance
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
