Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Windows System Administrator to join our team at the University of Missouri-Columbia. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support and maintenance for our research computing infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Windows systems, research instrumentation, and scientific applications.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows systems, including hardware and software upgrades.
  • Develop and implement scripts to automate system management tasks.
  • Collaborate with researchers and IT staff to resolve technical issues and improve system performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging IT trends and technologies related to research computing.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Windows system administration, IT support, or related field.
  • Excellent technical skills, including Windows system administration, scripting, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with device management, configuration scripts, and application packaging.
  • Knowledge of networking, security, and compliance.
  • Experience with Python and R programming languages or development environments.
