Hunger Commission Coordinator

United Way of Greater New Bedford is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Hunger Commission Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in coordinating the distribution of food and non-food products to our community partners.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate an effective and efficient distribution plan for pickups and deliveries
- Deliver fresh produce, dry goods, and other food and non-food products to confirmed program partners
- Maintain weekly logs and records of food collection and distribution
- Staff and set up Mobile Markets
- Assist and staff large scale, seasonal events
- Maintain relationships with food donors/suppliers and seek out new ones to increase food donations
- Maintain the service, cleanliness, and appearance of truck
- Supervise Hunger Commission Assistant and volunteers
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Massachusetts Driver's License
- Good driving record
- Positive attitude
- Excellent verbal communication
- Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service orientation
