Taproom Assistant Manager

At Creature Comforts Brewing Co., we're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Taproom Assistant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our taproom team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experiences, maintaining efficient operations, and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Support and Leadership:
    • Collaborate with the taproom team to maintain a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
    • Communicate effectively with guests and coworkers to ensure seamless service.
    • Provide and receive constructive feedback to drive growth and improvement.
  • Customer Service:
    • Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring a high-quality experience for our guests.
    • Address guest concerns and feedback promptly and professionally.
    • Foster strong relationships with regular guests and encourage repeat visits.
  • Communication and Engagement:
    • Stay informed about educational resources, beer release information, and event details.
    • Communicate effectively with the taproom manager and other team members.
    • Keep the team informed about changes to policies, operations, and events.
  • Staff Management:
    • Assist with scheduling staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage during operating hours.
    • Support the training and onboarding of new team members.
    • Monitor staff performance and provide feedback to ensure high standards are maintained.
  • Operations Support:
    • Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and well-maintained taproom environment.
    • Support inventory management and ordering processes.
    • Assist in coordinating maintenance and repairs as needed.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in a taproom setting or equivalent with an emphasis on team leadership and/or supervisor role.
  • Availability to work nights and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safety.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and make sound judgments.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Desire and ability to become an expert in the field.

  • Demonstrated caring, committed, and concerned attitude about safety.
  • Ability to work on your feet for up to 8 hours, maintaining a rigorous pace of activity, including walking the equivalent of ~8-10 miles on a shift.
  • The ability to lift an object that weighs within the range of 20-80 pounds.
