About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team at Wendy's. As an AGM, you will play a key role in driving customer service, training and development, sales and profit growth, and accountability across the entire restaurant team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership, supervision, and direction on strategic initiatives and operating standards
  • Drive customer service, training and development, sales and profit growth, and accountability across the restaurant team
  • Model Wendy's core values and create a fun, inviting work environment
  • Manage and develop a team of restaurant staff to achieve business objectives
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

Physical Demands

While performing the functions of this job, the employee may be required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to feel or handle; reach with hands and arms; climb; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl. At times, the employee may be required to lift up to 50 pounds. The employee may be required to drive an automobile to run company errands, such as making bank deposits and picking up change, going to company training and company meetings, and occasionally borrowing or purchasing product or other items for the restaurant.

The employee may be exposed to high heat from grill and fryer equipment and may be exposed to cooking oils and other materials typically used in preparing fast food products.

The physical requirements of this job include the ability to bend, kneel, and lift (25-50 pounds). Mobility, including bending, reaching, wiping, and carrying, is also required. All positions require long periods of standing without a break. This position requires 40 regular hours per week plus 10 hours of overtime. The employee must be willing to work shifts that include evenings and weekends and must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
