Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Clinical Registered Nurse to join our team at Bryan Health. As a key member of our cardiovascular team, you will provide professional nursing care and medical care prescribed by licensed healthcare providers. Your primary role will be to coordinate and facilitate patient care and follow-up, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide Professional Nursing Care: Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with various cardiac and vascular-related health conditions, adhering to established medical protocols and guidelines.
  2. Coordinate Patient Care: Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care, including triage, patient teaching, and abnormal test result communication.
  3. Support Healthcare Providers: Assist providers with examinations and procedures, ensuring efficient and effective patient care.
  4. Monitor Patient Caseload: Identify high-risk patients, ensure compliance with physician orders, and facilitate follow-up appointments and referrals.
  5. Respond to Patient Calls: Triage and respond to patient calls, pharmacies, hospitals, nursing homes, and other medical offices in a timely and professional manner.
  6. Prepare Electronic Health Records: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions, orders, results, and medication changes.
  7. Facilitate Patient Flow: Coordinate patient flow to minimize delays and ensure efficient use of provider time.
  8. Conduct New Patient History and Assessment: Gather and document patient information, including pain assessment, domestic abuse review, medication reconciliation, and allergy review.
  9. Provide Patient Education: Educate patients and families about tests, procedures, results, medications, nutrition, and other health-related issues.
  10. Assist with Rooming: Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, perform EKGs, and maintain clean and stocked rooms.
  11. Maintain Confidentiality: Comply with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality in matters related to patient, family, staff, and providers.
  12. Provide Non-Judgmental Care: Deliver care in a non-judgmental, compassionate, and non-discriminatory manner, respecting patient diversity, autonomy, dignity, and rights.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Registered Nursing Program
  • Current licensure as an RN in the State of Nebraska
  • Minimum of one year relevant nursing experience
  • Preferred: Clinic and cardiovascular nursing experience
