Bryan Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular Clinical team. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients with various cardiac and vascular related health conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Professional Nursing Care: Deliver high-quality patient care, including triage, patient teaching, and abnormal test result communication.
- Support Providers: Assist providers in a primary role, coordinating and facilitating patient care and follow-up to achieve quality patient care and customer service goals.
- Monitor Patient Caseload: Identify high-risk patients, ensure compliance with physician orders, and follow up on appointments and referrals.
- Communicate Effectively: Respond to patient calls, pharmacies, hospitals, and other medical offices in a timely manner, and manage transfer of care.
- Document Patient Information: Prepare Electronic Health Records (EHRs) for patient visits, documenting patient interactions, orders, results, patient questions/concerns, and medication changes.
- Facilitate Patient Flow: Ensure efficient flow of patients, avoiding delays for providers and minimizing waiting times for patients.
- Conduct Patient Assessments: Perform new patient history and assessments, reviewing established patient history updates, including pain assessment, domestic abuse review, medication reconciliation, and allergy review.
- Provide Patient Education: Educate patients and families about tests, procedures, results, medications, nutrition, and other health-related issues.
- Assist with Rooming: Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, perform EKGs, and maintain clean and ready rooms.
- Maintain Confidentiality: Comply with HIPAA and maintain confidentiality in matters related to patient, family, staff, and providers.
- Work as a Team Member: Collaborate with providers, staff, and patients to achieve quality patient care and customer service goals.
- Education: Graduation from an accredited Registered Nursing Program is required. BSN is preferred.
- Licensure: Current licensure as an RN in the State of Nebraska is required. Licensure as an RN in the State of Kansas is required for nurses traveling to Kansas clinics and in other states where the nurse practices in the clinic, and/or patients who receive care or instruction by phone, reside.
- Experience: Minimum of one year relevant nursing experience is required. Clinic and cardiovascular nursing experience is preferred.
