Administrative Support Specialist for SoHE Advising

Key Responsibilities

Support SoHE Advising staff by providing accurate, detail-oriented information regarding registration management and general advising needs. This involves maintaining advising calendars, assisting with registration management, and developing sound academic processes. Additionally, train and oversee student workers, assist with summer orientation, and update academic advising handouts and websites as needed.

Customer Service Focus

Provide a welcoming environment for SoHE majors, faculty, and staff. Greet students during office hours and assist with their academic needs, ensuring that the priorities of the College and Undergraduate Education are incorporated into all aspects of the position.

Leadership and Training

Lead 2 Freshman Interest Group seminars in the Fall semester and provide prospective student advising to SoHE majors. Attend CNS/SoHE meetings, trainings, and events as needed, and perform other duties as assigned, including supporting special projects and staffing events within CNS.
