Central Ohio Primary Care Physicians is in search of a dedicated Patient Service Representative to enhance our pediatric office operations. This role serves as a vital link between patients and our healthcare team, ensuring a seamless and pleasant experience for all visitors.

Key Responsibilities:


• Facilitate a welcoming atmosphere for patients during their visits, whether in-person, via telehealth, or over the phone.


• Maintain open communication with clinical staff to address patient needs effectively. Work collaboratively to foster a supportive patient environment.


• Welcome patients and execute established check-in protocols upon their arrival. Manage patient registration, including accurate data entry and insurance validation.


• Collect copayments, deductibles, and any outstanding balances.


• Oversee patient check-out processes, including scheduling follow-up appointments and conveying necessary information at the time of departure.


• Respond promptly to phone calls and email inquiries from patients and administrative departments; escalate issues as required. Reach out to patients for appointment confirmations or scheduling needs.


• Perform clerical duties such as managing mail and reports, filing, scanning, scheduling, data entry, and providing general support to office staff.


• Uphold patient confidentiality and stay informed about HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications:

Experience, Education, Licensures & Certifications


• Preferred: At least 1 year of administrative experience in a healthcare environment.


• Required: High School diploma or GED.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities


• Exceptional interpersonal and verbal communication skills, along with strong relationship-building capabilities.


• Proficient organizational and written communication skills.


• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and respond promptly to patients and visitors.


• Comprehensive understanding of HIPAA guidelines and commitment to maintaining patient privacy.


• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively, demonstrating leadership by example.


• Strong computer proficiency, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
