Overview

This position is a hybrid role, requiring a balance of time spent in a corporate office and remote work.

The role leverages advanced expertise to partner with organizational leaders and executives on financial and treasury initiatives aimed at fulfilling business goals while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards. It involves overseeing the risk and control framework that supports comprehensive capital stress assessments to maintain acceptable exposure levels and advising on risk mitigation strategies. The consultant provides specialized knowledge to the risk and internal controls framework that underpins Capital Management and Planning.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Development: Formulates and implements strategies to advance treasury objectives in capital management and stress testing. Monitors treasury initiatives, policies, and processes related to the internal control and risk framework for capital management and planning, ensuring alignment with business strategies and recommending necessary adjustments. Works closely with senior management to ensure that solutions developed address both current and future organizational needs.
  2. Program Oversight: Assesses, deploys, and manages the internal controls framework supporting capital, ensuring compliance with applicable legal and regulatory standards. Leads program delivery and communication with senior executives and leadership. May supervise projects linked to change management efforts.
  3. Financial Analysis: Analyzes the balance sheet's asset-liability risks to recommend targets and limits. Conducts in-depth analysis and risk identification across products, markets, and client behaviors.
  4. Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivates and maintains robust, communicative relationships with senior management, regulatory bodies, internal risk, and audit teams to advise and facilitate internal control initiatives and strategies.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience in Treasury, Internal Audit, Finance, or Risk Management, or a High School Diploma/GED with 14 years of relevant experience including management roles.

Preferred Experience: Banking Sector.

Preferred Academic Background: Quantitative Analysis, Statistics, Finance, Risk Management.

Preferred Education Level: Master's Degree.
