Position Overview: As a Medical Imaging Specialist, you will play a crucial role in both outpatient and inpatient settings. You will be responsible for performing radiological procedures under the supervision of a Radiologist, ensuring accurate and high-quality imaging for diagnostic purposes. Your expertise will be essential in operating various radiological equipment and adapting techniques to cater to different patient demographics, including pediatric and geriatric populations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients and imaging equipment for procedures, providing clear education to patients and their families.
  • Administer contrast agents as needed, adhering to strict aseptic techniques and documenting all relevant information.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring a friendly and supportive environment for patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with other imaging departments to ensure seamless patient care and workflow.
  • Efficiently manage multiple complex tasks, including outpatient exams, trauma cases, and portable imaging.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols to protect patients and staff from potential hazards.
  • Implement radiologic safety measures to minimize exposure to radiation for both patients and staff.
  • Focus on patient satisfaction by managing appointment scheduling and documentation accurately.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all equipment is functional and well-stocked.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the department leader.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Completion of a Radiology Program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Radiologic Technologist (RT) certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Experience:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in fluoroscopy is preferred, with training opportunities available.
  • Additional modality certifications are a plus, with training provided.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and radiology practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
