Job Title: Fraud Analyst

Job Summary:

LendingTree is seeking a highly skilled Fraud Analyst to join our team. As a Fraud Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficiency and efficacy of our enterprise-wide fraud detection and management program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide data-driven threat intelligence on fraudulent activity to improve the accuracy of our fraud detection and management program.
  • Design effective and adaptive fraud detection and prevention mechanisms, processes, and policies in response to this intelligence.
  • Collect and transfer data from multiple sources to our data warehouse Snowflake using API-based connectors.
  • Write custom queries and perform necessary data manipulation to gather and organize this data and create live-view dashboards providing real-time monitoring of suspected fraudulent activity.
  • Employ machine learning techniques to continually update and improve the accuracy and effectiveness of the fraud detection program.
  • Contribute to the development of our fraud detection platforms in partnership with Engineering and Information Security teams by providing data-driven feedback on the effectiveness of various detection tools, processes, and systems.
  • Work in a cross-functional capacity to address business needs and ensure our fraud management program is tailored to the unique risks faced by different parts of the business.
  • Monitor the fraud detection program for suspected organized fraud incidents and work with other parts of the business to identify and respond to fraud activity in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain compliance with various regulatory requirements regarding fraud management and reporting across the company.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years of professional data analytics experience in a fraud or information security context, preferably within the financial technology (FinTech) industry.
  • Strong experience with modern cloud data solutions, specifically Snowflake data warehouse.
  • Proficiency with business analytics and intelligence tools such as Tableau and PowerBI.
  • Experience in fraud detection and management within a FinTech environment, including knowledge of common fraud techniques.
  • Familiarity with information security tooling, such as SIEM/SOAR platforms and CDN/Cloud Security platforms, strongly preferred.
