Position: Mentoring Case Manager - A Unique Opportunity in Case Management

Key Responsibilities

· Provide coaching and support to Youth (from Kindergarten to 12th grade), Parents/Caregivers, and Mentors monthly to cultivate healthy and positive mentoring relationships.

· Employ flexible strategies in this role. Utilize your creativity to connect with our mentoring relationships through various methods such as phone calls, in-person meetings, events, and innovative ideas. Conversations should focus on strengths to offer guidance, build confidence, and motivate participants. Additionally, address conflict resolution, express appreciation, and provide training as part of this dynamic position.

· Maintain precise and timely documentation to ensure the safety of all participants and to comply with agency standards. The average caseload consists of approximately matched relationships.

· Proactively identify concerns regarding the safety and well-being of the child and/or the mentoring relationship by providing coaching on navigating challenges, reporting serious issues, and accessing necessary resources.

· Implement Program Policies to adhere to National and Agency Standards.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· Bachelor's Degree; or an Associate's Degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience; or a minimum of 8 years of experience in a related field required.

· Preferred experience in child development and/or case management.

· Experience working with adult populations, particularly Parents/Caregivers & Volunteers.

· Familiarity with diverse populations is essential.


QUALIFICATIONS:

· Strong organizational and planning abilities.

· Exceptional communication skills, including proficiency in written communication.

· Capability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with various staff, volunteers, and families.

· Excellent interpersonal skills, both in person and over the phone.


WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Proficient technology/computer skills are necessary. Familiarity with MS Office Suite (especially Word, Excel, & Teams), Outlook, and Zoom is required.

· Flexible working hours are essential to accommodate the needs of youth, families, and volunteers, including evenings and weekends.

· Home and school visits are integral to the role.

· A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required, along with meeting state-mandated automobile insurance minimums.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

● Salary commensurate with professional and academic experience (salary range - $41,000-$46,000).
● 401(k) plan with a 3% match after the first year of employment.
● Reimbursement for business mileage at .625 cents and full coverage for out-of-office parking during business meetings.
