Senior Electrical Engineer

Job Summary:
Ecompex, Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to provide supportive services for the U.S. Coast Guard. This position will be performed on site and telework may be authorized.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct review of vessel design electrical plan review activities and highlight deficiencies in submittals, including any missing information or actions that require special attention.
Conduct calculations to ensure compliance, verify arrangements against design standards, and research component specifications through internet searches of publicly available information.
Perform QA/QC and peer review for vessel design electrical plans prior to submission to executives.
Track all electrical plan review information utilizing the client's up-to-date information that outlines the progress and status of each plan review.
Manage the storage and record maintenance of electrical plan reviews.
Provide customer service support to answer inquiries, from various means, concerning the status of electrical reviews.
Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen
Able to pass a Tier (T1) clearance/background check
Possess an Accreditation Board for Engineering (ABET) accredited Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering OR a current Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Must have at least five years' experience in the review and evaluation of commercial vessel design plans or shipyard working experience.
Must have experience conducting plan reviews and oversight of the following: Electrical equipment installations, Fire detection systems, Vital machinery automation, Control systems, including dynamic positioning systems.
Work Environment:
Primary work location: Washington, DC / Telework may be authorized. Travel is not required for this position. Position Type: On-site / Remote Work Schedule, Salaried position.
