Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our electrical engineering team, you will be responsible for coordinating the work of electrical engineers, establishing client relations, and participating in design and production meetings. You will also assume the electrical lead on multiple projects and participate in reviews with governing agencies for code compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the work of electrical engineers with the balance of a multidiscipline team throughout the project's development
  • Establish client relations and participate in marketing, design, and production meetings with regard to electrical systems
  • Assume the electrical lead on multiple projects
  • Participate in reviews with governing agencies for code compliance
  • Conduct schematic, design development, and contract document work sessions at the project site
  • Coordinate workload through the entire project development to complete documents on schedule
  • Track the financial aspects of projects and coordinate and adjust the work effort with the team to ensure that the work is completed within the parameters of the agreed-upon schedule
  • Direct the activities of other electrical engineering professionals and act as a mentor to other staff members as needed
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems)
  • PE
  • Extensive knowledge of building electrical power, lighting, and life safety systems
  • Revit and AutoCAD experience
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture
Preferred Qualifications
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience at an MEP or AE firm
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis
  • Previous experience with federal, healthcare, and data center projects
  • US citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Strong project management and communication skills
  • Experience leading a team, dealing with project managers, clients, and ensuring projects meet their deadlines and budgets
