Job Title: Associate/Social Services Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Associate/Social Services Specialist to join our team at the Department of Social Services. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing support and services to at-risk children and families.

Job Summary:

The Associate/Social Services Specialist will be responsible for establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with partnering agencies, assisting families in achieving stability through casework and referrals, and representing the Children's Division in court hearings and meetings. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with partnering agencies
  • Assist families in achieving stability through casework and referrals
  • Represent the Children's Division in court hearings and meetings
  • Respond to the needs of children in their homes and throughout the community
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Four or more years of professional experience in protective services, including casework and case management
  • Valid vehicle operator's license
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to work a combination of evening and weekend shifts
  • Excellent problem-solving and time management skills
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Availability to be in the 'on call' rotation one weekend a month
