SPECIFIC JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking qualified candidates to support leadership and staff in the Force Protection branch.
ROLE OF THE SECURITY OPERATIONS SPECIALIST:
The Security Operations Specialist will assist in the formulation and drafting of Weapons waivers, program planning, analysis, and support for the Physical Security program, which encompasses command security, command-level inspections, assessments, and training logistics.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Active Top Secret clearance with the capability to obtain SCI eligibility.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in weapons waivers, preferably within the USMC or DOD Physical Security programs.
3. Ability to research and comprehend the mission, needs, and constraints of the organization; proactively identify issues and propose solutions.
4. Physical Security Certification (PSC) from CDSE or the ability to certify within 6 months of employment (preferred).
5. Familiarity with the Pacific theater and an understanding of the relationships and interactions among nations within the region (preferred).
6. Operational and/or logistical experience in the Asia-Pacific Theater (preferred).
7. Strong interpersonal and social skills, demonstrating excellence in staff and contractor support.
8. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
A Bachelor’s degree or higher with 5+ years of relevant experience, or an Associate’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience.
