Position Overview:

This role is situated within the Juvenile Detention Center and is responsible for overseeing all administrative functions related to Financial and Human Resource operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and process all recruitment and selection documentation to ensure adherence to compliance standards.
  • Verify the accuracy of information entered into the computer system, ensuring all required forms are completed.
  • Review and process Human Resource matters, ensuring compliance with departmental policies, procedures, and relevant statutes.
  • Provide administrative support to the Facility Operations and assist with various documentation and processing requests.
  • Offer technical assistance and guidance on human resource matters to facility personnel and administration.
  • Oversee payroll-related functions, ensuring timely and accurate completion of timesheets.
  • Coordinate meetings, training sessions, and correspondence related to human resource functions.
  • Maintain employee files and prepare organizational charts for the facility.
  • Disseminate personnel-related information and conduct orientation for new hires.
  • Act as the Fiscal Liaison for all Finance and Accounting matters.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Understanding of Juvenile Justice laws and policies.
  • Familiarity with detention services policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of basic management principles and administrative practices.
  • Ability to compile, organize, and analyze data effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Administrative and/or Human Resource roles.
