Position Overview:

The Process Improvement Engineer plays a crucial role in spearheading continuous enhancement initiatives that ensure excellence throughout the entire value chain. This position will leverage enterprise standards to guide process enhancement projects by instituting policies, procedures, and documentation aligned with continuous improvement objectives.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Industrial Technology;
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in an engineering capacity within a comparable environment.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Solid Works, and/or ProE);
  • Exceptional organizational, written, and verbal communication skills;
  • Understanding of lean methodologies and process optimization;
  • Varied skills and experience in leading projects;
  • Experience in cross-functional collaboration to achieve targeted outcomes;
  • Background in high mix, low volume, and high volume, low mix production settings;
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Industrial Technology; and 3-5 years of relevant experience in an engineering role within a similar environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Solid Works, and/or ProE);
  • Outstanding organizational, written, and verbal communication skills;
  • Knowledge of lean principles and process enhancements;
  • Diverse skills and experience in project leadership;
  • Experience in cross-functional teamwork to achieve desired results;
  • Experience in high mix, low volume, and high volume, low mix production environments;
  • Demonstrated abilities in problem-solving and conflict resolution.
Physical Requirements:
The employee is frequently required to communicate verbally and audibly, and to manipulate objects or controls. Regular standing and walking are necessary. Occasionally, the role may require bending, stooping, or reaching overhead. The employee must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. The position involves extensive computer-based work, necessitating periods of sitting, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel may be required.
