We are currently looking for a Materials Flow Optimization Analyst to become an integral part of our dynamic team at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.

The Materials Flow Optimization Analyst will oversee all internal processes and systems (ERP) related to material movement. This role encompasses the entire spectrum from inbound supplier materials to outbound finished products, including all distribution centers and production sites. As a vital operations resource, the Analyst will focus on enhancing internal efficiencies, ensuring timely customer deliveries, and improving inventory turnover rates. This position is crucial for implementing business solutions and practices that leverage Generac's Operating Model to manage material flow effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitates efficient and precise material presentation to support seamless material flow;
  • Implements processes and systems that enhance daily warehousing operations, including staging, cycle counting, and material storage;
  • Ensures proper documentation and system utilization for material flow throughout the Supply Chain from inbound supplier materials to outbound shipments;
  • Manages inventory processes and material control, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established inventory guidelines;
  • Collaborates with Quality, Purchasing, and Production teams to devise effective solutions for customer quality and delivery challenges, aiming to meet objectives and KPIs;
  • Maintains open communication between planning, purchasing, and production to maximize customer satisfaction;
  • Develops and enforces standard processes and strategies that drive production efficiency improvements;
  • Encourages resource development to enhance performance through systems utilization and process enhancements;
  • Promotes best practices in material/inventory management, including Warehouse Management (Cycle Count Accuracy, Transactions, Bar Coding, RFID) and Fill Rate;
  • Provides guidance and knowledge for the development of materials staff through education, training, coaching, mentoring, and certifications in executing improvement priorities and achieving key performance indicators;
  • Acts as an SAP Super User within assigned functional areas.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of relevant experience (preferably in Business or Supply Chain);
  • 5+ years of experience in material control systems and processes;
  • Proven track record of performance and advancement within operations, business, and supply chain.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP systems;
  • Certifications/Technical Skills Preferred: CPIM, CSCP;
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook);
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Experience in problem-solving and conflict resolution;
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally;
  • Familiarity with key warehouse and materials functions (e.g., Receiving, Material Flow, Inventory Management, Stock Transfer Orders, Replenishment Techniques);
  • Demonstrated skills in process improvement and systematic enhancements;
  • Effective organizational and planning abilities;
  • Capability to investigate and resolve flow/process issues;
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and departments;
  • Demonstrated drive and determination to achieve success;
  • Ability to influence senior management and teams across various cultures and disciplines.
Physical Demands: The role requires regular communication and manual dexterity. Employees will frequently stand and walk, with occasional requirements to stoop, bend, or reach. Lifting up to 25 pounds may be necessary. This position involves extensive computer-based work, necessitating periods of sitting and close vision. Occasional travel may be required.
