Job Overview

We are seeking a Technical Security and Signals Countermeasures (TSSC) Practitioner to plan and execute Technical Counterintelligence (TC) missions in support of the nation's toughest missions. You will collaborate with our staff, the DoD enterprise, servicing law enforcement agencies, and provide CI support to cybersecurity.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct activities in accordance with DoDI, command policies, and standard operating procedures governing the employment of tactics, techniques, and procedures.
  • Update and maintain a database for comparative analysis.
  • Support short notice and planned full and limited scope surveys for various programs domestically and globally.
  • Detect and analyze infrastructure items of interest.
  • Collaborate with the staff, DoD enterprise, servicing law enforcement agencies, and provide CI support to cybersecurity.
  • Recommend countermeasures to mitigate technical hazards and vulnerabilities and log them into an incident tracker/spreadsheet.
  • Prepare technical risk assessment products, TSSC reports of survey, after-action reports, tailored briefings, and other administrative communication necessary to support the mission quarterly.
  • Ensure all required reports are completed within established time frames, with minimal to no errors.
  • Maintain knowledge of emerging technical threats and capabilities.
  • Complete 80 hours of discipline-specific development and/or refresher training annually.
Requirements
  • Graduate of the TSSC Fundamental Course at the Inter-Agency Training Center, Fort Washington, Maryland, and certified to conduct Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM).
  • Graduate of the Department of Defense or Federal Counterintelligence/Law Enforcement Badge & Credentialing School in accordance with DoDI.
  • Possession of understanding and application of DoD TSSC norms, where cross-agency coordination shall be conducted by Program Managers (PMs) or designees only.
  • Possession and maintenance of Information Assurance Technician Level II certification in accordance with DoDI, Cyberspace Workforce Management, and DoDM, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program.
  • Completion of network traffic analysis training utilizing Packet Capture (PCAP) data and analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, Network Miner, etc.) within one year of employment.
  • Six years of TSSC experience, encompassing Advice & Assistance, Executive Travel Support, Penetration Investigations, In-Conference Monitoring, Technical Threat Briefs, and countermeasure recommendations.
  • Six years' experience with the installation, analysis, and operation of semi-automated receivers, antenna port switchers, small networks, direction-finding tools, and software relevant to TSSC missions and operations.
  • Current Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Possession of current U.S. Passport.
  • Hearing capability of 30 decibels or better in both ears in the 500, 1000, and 2000 Hz ranges.
  • Correctable vision to 20/20, distant and near, through normal vision or corrective measures.
  • Normal color vision.
