Job Description Summary:

As a Project Engineer Intern, you will play a key role in the administration of our field office, working towards achieving project profitability and schedule goals. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry and develop your skills in project coordination, documentation, and communication.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Update and maintain all sets of drawings, specifications, and logs to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare and distribute documents to subcontractors, ensuring timely and effective communication.
  • Maintain document logs and ensure that all records are up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Assist with the maintenance and updating of CPM schedules to ensure project progress and timelines are met.
  • Contribute to determining weekly labor production quantities and assist with processing submittals.
  • Maintain submittal and RFI logs on the CMS system, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Assist with expediting and project filing system maintenance, ensuring that all records are organized and easily accessible.
  • Input data for labor cost reports and field quantity surveys, providing valuable insights for project management.
  • Support the Affirmative Action program documentation and complete other responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:
  • Engineering, Construction Management, or Architectural degree completed or in progress, or equivalent experience.
  • Basic estimating and scheduling skills are desirable.
  • Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
  • Effective written and verbal English language communication skills.
  • Ability to use independent judgment and be self-starting.
  • Drafting and computer skills are desirable.
