Receptionist - Customer Service Representative

Covenant Living Communities is seeking a skilled Receptionist to join our team. As a key member of our community, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:- Answer all telephone calls in a polite, personal, and friendly manner, transferring calls as needed and taking messages when individuals are unavailable.
- Monitor the emergency system, directing staff to respond to emergent situations and contacting emergency personnel as necessary.
- Provide information to visitors, ensuring they sign in and wear appropriate badges according to policy and procedure.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception desk and lobby area.
- Facilitate transportation requests, coordinating with staff and communicating with residents and staff regarding transportation schedules.
- Assist residents in signing up for programs and activities, collecting payment as needed.
- Operate office equipment, demonstrating its use to other staff and monitoring equipment to report any issues.
- Sell postage stamps to residents and staff, receive packages and mail, sort mail, and log in packages, informing residents and staff of available packages.
- Facilitate maintenance requests, inputting requests into the system and communicating with staff regarding urgent or emergent situations.
- Complete monthly charge sheets in accordance with company procedure.
- Support other departments with clerical duties as assigned by the Administrative Services Coordinator.
- High school education or equivalent.
- One year of secretarial training or clerical experience.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English.
- Ability to remain calm in emergency situations.
- Complete confidentiality when circulating general information.
- Knowledge of computers, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Interest in working with older adults.
