Position Overview

As the Senior Visualization Supervisor, you will be instrumental in realizing our artistic vision. Your role involves shaping the visual aspects of projects with precision and expertise.

We seek a dynamic, detail-oriented, and highly imaginative leader who is passionate about continuous improvement. The Senior Visualization Supervisor will uphold high standards within the department, ensuring flawless execution of tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Directors, VFX Supervisors, and other creative leads to design and produce effective Previs/Postvis for significant sequences.
  • Manage production timelines by closely coordinating with the Production team to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Work with the Production team to create and maintain an accurate production timeline.
  • Accurately interpret client directives.
  • Engage with pipeline and engineering teams to improve tools and workflows.
  • Communicate effectively across teams and foster strong working relationships.
  • Support talent development and encourage professional growth within the team.
  • Provide creative insights and technical solutions during review sessions to enhance sequence continuity and coherence.

Qualifications:

  • Possess the skills of a Senior Previs Artist/Animation Lead and be proficient in industry-standard tools.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor with both team members and clients.
  • Adhere to stringent security protocols and confidentiality agreements.
  • Inspire team members, offer constructive feedback, set objectives and deadlines, and focus on ongoing self-improvement.
  • Exhibit strong creative problem-solving skills.
  • Assist in training and skill enhancement for artists.
  • Learn to support shot production bidding alongside the Visualization Producer and Head of Visualization.
  • Understand filmmaking practices and terminology.
  • Demonstrate exceptional creativity in sequence design and staging.
  • Capable of basic editing for sequence coherence when necessary.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Hold an Associate degree in computer animation or equivalent experience.
  • If lacking formal qualifications, possess over 8 years of experience in a Visualization department.
  • Proficient in relevant software tools such as Windows, Maya, Unreal, After Effects, and Premiere.
  • Must be creative, innovative, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective time management skills to meet project deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, open to feedback, and collaborative in a team setting.
  • Measure of Success/Key Performance Indicators: Ability to maintain project schedules and ensure client satisfaction.
