Position Overview
As the Senior Visualization Supervisor, you will be instrumental in shaping the visual storytelling of our projects. Your expertise will guide the aesthetic and technical aspects of the final output, ensuring that our creative vision is realized with precision and artistry.
We seek a dynamic, detail-oriented leader with a strong creative and technical background, committed to fostering excellence within the department. The Senior Visualization Supervisor will uphold the highest standards of quality and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with Directors, VFX Supervisors, and other creative leads to produce effective Previs/Postvis for critical sequences.
- Manage production timelines by working in tandem with the Production team to ensure timely and budget-conscious delivery.
- Work with the Production team to create and maintain an accurate production timeline.
- Interpret client directives with precision.
- Engage with pipeline and engineering teams to refine tools and workflows.
- Foster effective communication across teams and build strong collaborative relationships.
- Support the development of team talent and encourage professional growth.
- Provide creative insights and technical solutions during review sessions to enhance sequence continuity.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrate the skills of a Senior Previs Artist/Animation Lead and be proficient in industry-standard tools.
- Exhibit professionalism in interactions with team members and clients.
- Adhere to strict security protocols and confidentiality agreements.
- Inspire team members through constructive feedback, goal-setting, and a focus on continuous improvement.
- Showcase strong creative problem-solving skills.
- Assist in training and skill enhancement for artists.
- Learn to support shot production bidding alongside the Visualization Producer and Head of Visualization.
- Possess a solid understanding of filmmaking practices and terminology.
- Exhibit exceptional creativity in sequence design and staging.
- Be capable of basic editing to ensure sequence coherence when necessary.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Hold an Associate degree in computer animation or possess equivalent experience.
- If lacking formal education, have over 8 years of experience in a Visualization role.
- Proficient in relevant software tools including Windows, Maya, Unreal, After Effects, and Premiere.
- Exhibit creativity, innovation, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Possess strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrate effective time management skills to meet project deadlines.
- Show excellent communication skills, be open to feedback, and work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Measure of Success/Key Performance Indicators: Ability to maintain project schedules and ensure client satisfaction.
