This position is accountable for coordinating and integrating trauma service improvement programs, adhering to County, State, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, promote, and implement injury prevention programs aligned with trauma center designation requirements.
  • Collaborate with the trauma team to monitor and evaluate healthcare quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with Joint Commission Standards, Quality Improvement Process, and Risk Management protocols.
  • Stay up-to-date with Florida State Department of Health SATC/SAPTRC Approval Standards and Palm Beach County Health Care District Trauma Agency Mandates.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional groups to remain current in practice and changes in regulations.
  • Exercise judgment and discretion when handling confidential information.

Requirements

  • Florida Registered Nurse license, American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certification.
  • Certification in Critical Care, Emergency Nursing, and Case Management is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Infection Control Surveillance and Universal Precautions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
