Additionally, the coordinator will develop, promote, and implement injury prevention programs related to trauma center designation requirements.


Key Responsibilities


  • Develop and implement trauma service improvement programs to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Coordinate with the trauma team to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Design and implement injury prevention programs to reduce trauma-related injuries and improve patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to promote a culture of safety and quality improvement.
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making recommendations for improvement.

Requirements


  • Minimum of 4 years of clinical experience in acute care, with a focus on Emergency, Critical Care, or Trauma care.
  • Florida Registered Nurse license and American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certification required.
  • Certification in Critical Care, Emergency Nursing, and Case Management preferred.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission Standards, Quality Improvement Process, and Risk Management.
  • Knowledge of Infection Control Surveillance and Universal Precautions.
  • Knowledge of Florida State Department of Health SATC/SAPTRC Approval Standards.
  • Knowledge of Palm Beach County Health Care District Trauma Agency Mandates.
