The Licensed Practical Nurse plays a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents at McAuley Residence SNF Sub Acute. As a key member of our team, you will administer nursing care under the direction of a registered nurse, coordinate activities with certified nurse assistants, and actively participate in direct resident care.
Responsibilities- Education: High school diploma or equivalent, graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing, and current registration in New York State as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Experience: Long-term care experience preferred, with a minimum of one year of experience in the job to perform in an acceptable manner.
- Knowledge, Skill, and Ability: Ability to work in a strenuous environment, pushing, lifting residents, and being on feet most of the day. May be exposed to disagreeable conditions, including odors, communicable diseases, infections, and injuries from residents or equipment.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of physical activity. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team setting, communicate clearly with residents and colleagues, and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.
