Licensed Practical Nurse Resident Care Specialist

The Licensed Practical Nurse plays a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents. As a member of our team, you will administer nursing care under the direction of a registered nurse, coordinate the activities of certified nurse assistants, and actively participate in the direct care of residents.
Responsibilities- Administer nursing care to designated residents under the direction of a registered nurse.
- Coordinate and support the activities of certified nurse assistants.
- Participate in the direct care of residents, following the specific approaches stated in the plan of care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing.
- Currently registered in New York State as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Long-term care experience preferred.
- One year of experience in the job to perform in an acceptable manner.
This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to disagreeable conditions, including odors, communicable diseases, and injuries from residents or equipment. The Licensed Practical Nurse must be able to lift, push, and stand for long periods of time.
