Job Summary

Techniplas, a global leader in plastic components and design-focused surfaces, seeks an Industrial Engineer to drive process improvements and optimize manufacturing efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in lean and six sigma manufacturing techniques, with experience in establishing measurable labor standards and takt time. A bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business is required, along with two or more years of experience in the automotive industry in a lean manufacturing role.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Interpreting and communicating production scrap, labor, and overtime OEE reports to drive focused problem-solving.
  • Promoting and driving continuous improvement through the creation of measurables and the use of 6 sigma and lean tools.
  • Establishing, monitoring, and maintaining rates for manufacturing routings to accurately document labor costs.
  • Reviewing monthly labor history reports and making improvements to the production process or operation.
  • Creating and maintaining capacity models for effective utilization of equipment.
  • Communicating with commercial, sales, and engineering teams for new product launches and capacity projects.
  • Creating and maintaining flowcharts, PFMEAs, routings, work instructions, routing cards, and customer-specific documents as required.
  • Working indirectly with the Design group on DFEMAs.
  • Understanding customer packaging design requirements and working directly with packaging suppliers to design and define packaging materials.
