As a member of the Water & Protection team, you will be focused on delivering innovative, sustainable solutions to meet our customer needs for a better, healthier, safer life. Performance Building Solutions (PBS) is a leading global provider of value-added solutions in the areas of weatherization, air sealing, thermal comfort and fire protection systems for the building and construction market.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Defining and delivering Process Safety Management, Grow & Improve projects, and overall technology support in alignment with tactical and strategic Business Technology objectives for the DuPont Styrofoam XPS business.
- Applying knowledge of the Styrofoam XPS technology to define and implement solutions for Process Safety Management and Grow & Improve projects.
- Leading or participating in front end loading of capital projects.
- Participating in the Business Technology Implementation Plan (BTIP) reviews for the Styrofoam XPS plants – providing technical support and solutions.
- Providing input into Shelter Multi-Generational Technology Plan (MGTP).
- Leading or participating in Process Hazard Analysis.
- Leading the North America Styrofoam XPS Efficiency Improvement Team (EIT) which leverages learnings and drives improvements across the XPS NA sites.
- First contact in Manufacturing Technology for advanced troubleshooting for Operations.
- Responsible for providing technical training and coaching to Operations Engineers and Technical staff.
- Providing engineering support for Root Cause Investigations.
- Leading or supporting qualification or trials for new products or raw materials.
- Validating technical solutions and documents results to drive toward a standardized Process Technology.
- Providing technical input for Management of Change.
- Leading or participating in Project Reviews.
- Collaborating across Manufacturing Technology, Operations, Environment, Health, and Safety, Research and Development, etc.
- This role has the potential for up to 20% of travel at certain times, including international travel.
Qualifications include:
- BS Engineering discipline required. Mechanical Engineering degree is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of manufacturing or related experience required.
- Experience with Styrofoam XPS and/or chemistry is preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably Styrofoam XPS experience.
- Learning agility - A personal drive to learn, pivot when necessary, and adapt to the ever-changing needs of our company in the face of a changing world and customer base.
- Intellectual curiosity - Proactively investing time and energy into learning more and personally developing, in the interest of improving yourself and delivering better results.
