Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Water Safety and Aquatics Program Manager to join our team at the YMCA of Greater Louisville. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily pool activities and maintaining a safe pool atmosphere while preventing accidents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage daily pool activities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all patrons.
  • Develop and implement effective safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Collaborate with aquatic staff to deliver high-quality aquatics programs, including swim lessons and lifeguarding training.
  • Assist in scheduling, hiring, training, and supervising aquatic staff, including lifeguards and swim instructors.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including pool logs and staff certifications.
Requirements:
  • Certified Lifeguard Instructor certification
  • Minimum age of 21
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
