Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sanitation Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Hannaford Supermarkets. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our customers and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the breakroom and all restrooms, ensuring a hygienic environment for all users.
  • Sweep and damp mop all floors on a daily basis, adhering to our high standards of cleanliness.
  • Respond promptly to spills and clean up any messes throughout your shift.
  • Empty all trash inside and outside of the store, maintaining a tidy and organized environment.
  • Schedule rotation and cleaning of the dairy shelves, ensuring our products are displayed in a clean and appealing manner.
  • Perform minor repairs of equipment and fixtures as needed, utilizing your problem-solving skills to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Shovel and salt sidewalks as needed, ensuring safe access for our customers and employees.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and established procedures, upholding our commitment to excellence.
  • Maintain company standards and programs for safety, fire prevention, and security, prioritizing the well-being of our team members and customers.
  • Maintain productivity levels at or above company standards, meeting our expectations for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Treat all co-workers with fairness, dignity, and respect, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Maintain good communication with the management team and associates, ensuring seamless collaboration and teamwork.
  • Provide outstanding customer service, delivering exceptional experiences for our valued customers.
  • Communicate any needed repairs and/or maintenance work needed, ensuring our facilities are always in top condition.
  • Maintain a quality of performance of all specific duties and responsibilities assigned, consistently meeting our high standards.
Requirements
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with a desire to work in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
  • Must meet minimum age requirements, ensuring you are eligible to work in this role.
  • Flexible schedule needed, as you will be required to work varying shifts and hours.
  • Ability to stand/walk 100% of the time, with frequent reaching and lifting (mop buckets, spills).
  • Ability to handle a variety of cleaning materials/substances, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Lift up to 40 lbs. approximately 50% of the time, with the ability to push/pull up to 40 lbs. regularly.

  • Maintain cleanliness and conditions of the equipment used in the performance of this job function, upholding our commitment to excellence.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is between $21.80 per hour, offering a competitive compensation package that reflects your skills and experience.
