About the Role
The KIPP Foundation is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Manager, Event Design and Operations to join our Event Design and Operations Team (EDO). As a key member of the EDO team, you will be responsible for planning and executing high-quality events that support the organization's mission and goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Event Planning and Execution: Co-create vision and serve as a thought partner to programming directors around annual strategy, session content, and programming goals to ensure a high-quality programming for participants.
- Project Management: Create and manage an integrated project management plan across multiple work streams, including deadlines, project expenses, and guest lists.
- Logistics and Operations: Manage event logistics, including venue selection, catering, and audiovisual equipment, to ensure seamless execution.
- Communications: Compose and deliver event communication, including programming agendas, logistical information, and event-related documents.
- Registration and Attendee Management: Monitor attendee registration and enhance each event's success by driving adequate attendance.
- Vendor Selection and Management: Research, secure, manage, and evaluate vendors to provide needed services at live and virtual events within purchasing and operating guidelines and within budget.

Qualifications
- At least 5 to 8 years of professional experience in events, with experience managing exclusive events with an eye toward delivering memorable experiences.
- Previous project or event management experience.
- Maintains a positive, service-oriented mindset and an eagerness to learn.
- Demonstrated professional finesse that will allow you to successfully handle the unique and ever-evolving needs of our facilitators and attendees.
- A love of being flexible and nimble, with a demonstrated ability to roll with the punches and handle the unknown.
- Proficiency with Cvent, Microsoft Office Suite, and Survey Monkey.
- Professional acumen and experience working directly with senior leaders and executives.
