Surgical Technician

About the Role
As a Surgical Technician at Providence, you will play a vital role in the care of patients undergoing surgical procedures. Under the supervision of the OR RN Circulator, you will assist medical and nursing staff in providing high-quality patient care. Your primary function will be to serve as the scrub person in the Surgical Suites and other clinical areas.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room environment to ensure a safe and efficient surgical experience.
- Provide support to the surgical team during procedures, including passing instruments and supplies as needed.
- Help maintain accurate records and documentation of patient care and surgical procedures.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless communication and coordination during procedures.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school for medical assistants or equivalent combination of coursework, experience, and training.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification upon hire.
- 6 months of healthcare experience.
- 6 months of medical assistant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- National Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.
