Job Title: Encroachment Engineer III

Location: Houston, TX

Duration: 12+ Months Contract (Possible extensions)

Job Summary:

The Encroachment Engineer III will provide support for the safe operation of Company's pipeline facilities through engineering evaluation and communication with stakeholders and 3rd parties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review construction documents and evaluate proposed construction against Company standard requirements.
  • Coordinate with Encroaching Entity to confirm their scope and resolve conflicts.
  • Perform required analysis, mark-up drawings, and write technical reports.
  • Submit technical reports with safety stipulations to be included in approval letters.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to confirm condition of Company pipeline(s) and integrate their evaluations into technical reports.

Requirements:

  • BS in engineering – Civil or Mechanical engineering.
  • 6 - 8 years in utility coordination experience, plus experience in oil & gas industry.
  • State or Federal Department of Transportation (DOT) experience a plus.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively comprehend and mark-up construction drawings.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate dredging activities and impact to Company's pipeline(s).
  • Familiar with GIS, G Maps, and Blue Beam software.
  • PE licensure in the State of Texas or ability to obtain PE licensure within 6 months of hire is a plus.
