Job Summary

As a Unified Communications Engineer at JobRialto, you will be responsible for critical utility IT networking hardware, software, design, engineering, security, support, and analytical activities associated with one or more technical areas. This role requires high-level research on unusual and unique projects, recommending direction and plans to deploy and maintain secure infrastructure capabilities that enhance reliability, support business strategy, and enhance the client experience while minimizing growth in overall operating costs.

Key Responsibilities

Provide 2nd-level support for all Cisco phone or Contact Center Express issues
Work on daily move, add, and changes that are requested
Implement, integrate with, maintain, and secure cloud infrastructure using SDN
Participate in performance monitoring and tuning of network systems
Participate in engineering, design, and project management of network systems projects
Develop and maintain diagrams documenting company networks
Participate in technology evaluation and selection processes, ensuring compatibility between client requirements and technical performance
Effectively communicate with clients, peers, and supervision by blending appropriate levels of technical and business detail to ensure issues are thoroughly understood by his/her audience
Develop and maintain relationships with clients, peers, vendors, and management
Work in cooperation with IT Security to ensure that we are in compliance with Enterprise Security standards and that the company's Network security is not compromised
Support NERC-CIP compliance and ensure that electronic and physical security policies are followed
Jointly participate with Security and Administration to develop satisfactory backup and restore practices as well as disaster recovery planning and testing
Participate in establishing processes and procedures that streamline and reduce costs
Participate in managing and improving costs of budgeted Capital and Operational and Maintenance activities
All other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology
5+ years of experience in technical network support, or an equivalent combination of education and experience on a year-for-year basis
Participation in continuing education courses and/or technical seminars is helpful
A successful academic or work background indicating a demonstrated ability to absorb information, apply conceptual skills in practical applications, and achieve desired results in a highly technical, operating environment
Experience with programming and/or scripting is a plus
Automation scripting skills using tools like Ansible, Python, and PowerShell are a plus
Working knowledge of Cisco IOS, Cisco Communications Callmanager, and Unity Connection Voicemail, Contact Center Express, and some Zoom and/or Team Phones experience would be helpful but not required
